Seattle News Building East of the Space Needle

Before the Zombie Outbreak Event, the Seattle News was the biggest newspaper in Seattle, serving the whole Washington State. With a peak of 3 million subscriptions, the Seattle News was the most important source for news and current events. That all changed on Day Zero.

Fast forward a couple years and the presses are rolling again as the population returns to Washington thanks to the tireless efforts of Philanthropist and Developer, Mr. Blank.

"As we restore electricity and order to the area, it is very important we have a way of letting people know what's going on, and what we have accomplished." Mr. Blank told Seattle News in an interview. "So I saw a great social value in restarting the Seattle News because we need an outlet to let all of Washington know what's going on on the other side of the hill. And having a newspaper brings citizens a feeling of community and a sense of normalcy."

News desks are empty because reporters are on the street

With the Original Seattle News, these desks would be full with many people bumping into each other trying to make their dead lines. These days, the top two floors are empty with a generator sitting in the place that used to be the Editors Desk. Lamps have been installed and windows replaced, and the clock in the Writers Room is frozen to the time The Event happened with a functioning clock next to it.

Never closing again
